Text of EFF interdict

On 23 December Judge Dennis Davis delivered an oral judgment in the case between the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and the speaker of the National Assembly. Here is the text of that judgment.
Judge Davis has emphasised that this is a draft text that still requires editing.
The EFF brought an urgent application asking the Cape High Court to prevent the National Assembly decision to suspend their membership of Parliament without pay from being carried out. Judge Davis upheld the application.
