Under 10s do the 100m sprint at a Blue Down athletics meeting of eight schools on Thursday.

Learners from eight primary schools in or near Bonteheuwel showed off their athletic skills on Thursday. The participating schools were: Cedar Primary, Montevideo Primary, Rosewood Primary, Mimosa Primary, Bergsig Primary, E.A. Janari Primary, Arcadia Primary and Montana Primary. The event took place at Blue Downs Sports Stadium, about 20km from Bonteheuwel. Vygieskraal Stadium was unavailable and Athlone Stadium doesn’t have a running track, even though they are both close to Bonteheuwel.
