Tips for getting your letter published

Letters are only published if approved by our editors. Views expressed in letters are not necessarily endorsed by GroundUp.

  1. Keep it short: 100 to 350 words.
  2. Provide relevant information or arguments.
  3. Be polite and respectful. No gratuitous insults.
  4. Use your real name(s) unless there are exceptional circumstances.
  5. Use plain English.

We may edit letters for typos, grammar and style. We also may change the title of the letter.

This is a letter in response to “In Glebelands you were supposed to be careful, be alert and know who you were talking to before you say anything” witness tells court.
