We asked people for their views on Bafana Bafana’s performance after the dull 0-0 draw against Cape Verde. Some of the responses were unprintable! But here are a few of the more polite ones.
Gurzian Wyngaard
Put Lyle Lakay of Celtic and Dane Klate of Pirates in. There were no crosses or penetration. Yes, Gordon tell them to pass right. They are passing but they don’t penetrate. When they must cross they rather pass back

It sounds like an old car, full of promises but no performance. Soccer is about, skill, luck and attitude. Bafana, has no idea. Gordon lost my respect. The players currently playing in the Bafana team don’t know the basics: Pass to where you can see. Be composed in the box. Once you lose the ball, get behind the ball. Mark the man. One two when it’s on. Dribble when there’s space. Support your pass. Strikers give options. Proper communications. Bongani is an excuse for a captain. He turns like a bus. He lacks speed. He is fair in the air. Their midfield is nonexistent. They either don’t have confidence or they are inexperienced. We always had a goal scoring issue. Maphela just got back from injury. There are players far match fitter than him. Is that fair? The style they are playing isn’t Gordon’s style. “I am playing for Kaizer Chiefs or Pirates then I am automatic an candidate for selection,” - that is bull. Tshabala, is so predictable, Parker looks average, the combination just look so up prepared.

The players lacked a killer instinct. What can they change for today’s game is the attitude, tactics and players. For instance Majoro and Parker don’t even play together at club level, but the Coach played them together. Replace Majoro and Parker with Rantjie and Mphela.

I think we will win. Bafana are going to take it. Parker is my favourite player in the squad. In today’s game against Angola, if Bafana starts Serero the score will be 2-1, but Tshabalala and Parker will score.
